Principal Mailing Solutions has made three strategic appointments to its senior management team as it looks to drive further sales and enhance and expand its product offering.
The latest addition to the Northampton based direct mail firm is Robin Skinner, who takes up the role of Managing Director. Skinner who has over 30 years of industry experience, most recently at Lettershop and previously long tenures at 4DM / Eclipse and Colorgraphic joins on 27th July. Skinner commented “from my first dialogue with the Principal team several months ago, I have been hugely impressed with the product offering, culture, and most importantly high levels of customer service. The business has a fabulous loyal client base from across many sectors and provides a mix of time sensitive regulatory / business critical campaigns alongside “traditional” direct mail and other related manufacturing and campaign management services. With market and volume changes I see Principal as a “hidden gem”, with huge potential to achieve further growth and success”.
Skinner joins Sam Cocking, newly appointed as Operations Director. Cocking who started his career at the firm as an apprentice data processor in 2013 has worked in various key operational roles and has been a fundamental part of driving excellence in process and manufacturing. During the transition from a primarily trade supplier to its current position of mainly direct supply, Cocking has most recently managed the successful implementation of ISO27001 accreditation, and the research, planning and successful install of new colour digital print technology. This includes a brace of Xerox machines – a Xerox Versant 4100 (Digital Toner) and Xerox Baltoro (Digital Inkjet).
A third appointment is John Knight, who joined the business earlier in the year in the newly created role of Data Services Director. An industry veteran of 25 years, Knight has extensive experience using market leading software applications Cygnus and Quadiant, both of which form a key part of Principals powerful data offering, a prerequisite for the complex campaigns that form the base of the day-to-day work mix. Knight added “Since joining I have developed a deep appreciation for what makes Principal Mailing so special. It’s growing success is rooted in its collaborative culture, with the team being at the very heart of the business. It’s a fantastic place to work and there’s a real passion and drive from everyone to do the best for our customers and I’m excited to do my part to help realise our full potential.”
As part of the carefully mapped out growth program, the business is also currently finalising specifications and manufacturers to further invest in specialist equipment this financial year, to further service client needs, and gain additional market share through a wider range of offerings and increased output. Cocking commented “it’s an exciting time for Principal – whilst our growth plans are ambitious, we remain grounded and focussed on delivering for our customers. The team in place bring together a wealth of experience and knowledge, supported by a loyal and efficient workforce, the next chapter should prove to be a rewarding journey for us and customers alike”
